Gavin spent most of the morning in his pop up tunnel, stuffing it with blankets, animals and pillows so that he could roll around in the floor, pretending he was in the washing machine...gotta love a three year old's imagination :)

Gavin didn't want to wear his gnome costume to school but we were able to convince him to dress like Daddy instead for his Halloween party :)

Going on almost 24 hours with no power... For no really good reason. I'm sitting in my car, charging my phone and took a picture of the picture of the highlight of Gavin's day... Elephant ride at the state fair :)

Gromit was quite pleased that I came home today... bearing chocolate cookies that I'm sure he'll attempt to steal (like always).

I loved the fall colors even though it wasn't very cool today. Early this morning I wandered around with my lensbaby and then after lunch we carved a pumpkin (those I took with my 50mm).

Day Two Hundred Ninety-Five.




Wandering around after dinner my brother and I found several bugs that made for fun macro. I wish my praying mantis pictures had turned out better, she was eating a grasshopper and it was really cool to see. But she was brown, on a brown flower- almost after sunset...not good for a picture. But my brother used OCF (Off camera flash) and I think he got some really awesome ones- I'm sure he'll post them to his flickr...

Anyways- I do like this one I got of a katydid eating a tithonia (Mexican sunflower). :) It was almost dark so with my external flash it kind of had a National Geographic effect...

It will be there tomorrow morning. My camera battery is dead and I can't upload the picture without it being charged. And by the time it's charged I can't use the computer because I'm sharing the room with Ellie girl. (And I don't even get cell service so I can't mobile blog a picture of the picture like usual ;) ).
So...I didn't skip a day. I'll just be a smidge behind uploading ;)

We took the kids to the pumpkin patch/cotton field. Ellie and Gavin loved it (especially running off into the cotton field...) I found Ellie by listening to her little cries of "oww. oww. oww." as she pushed the stalks away..

Made it to my parent's house today...wandered around enjoying fall with my macro lens :)

Not how I wanted to spend the end of our weekend...Ellie threw up the whole time I was at my last session today, so on my way home, I spent time in the pedialyte aisle...

We made a trek out to the "local" pumpkin patch and this was our haul :) As Gavin put it.."A mama pumpkin and two babies!"  The whole adventure, including a few pictures of Gavin leading us through the corn maze, after dark with no flash light will be up on the family blog tomorrow :)

Day Two Hundred Eighty-One.

I scrapped our family Halloween costume idea (we were going as Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook and Tinkerbell) when I couldn't find anything reasonable to wear as a pregnant Wendy... and I found these adorable costumes today at Target....A friend suggested Andrew and I should dress up as gardeners since we have a pair of garden gnomes now :)

Baby Number Three is now (at 17 weeks and change) the size of a sweet potato. :)

Gavin's beloved Ms. Jessie made a return to MDO today after being sick (or her sweet babies being sick). Gavin has missed her so much and had a good day (green happy face this time!) When he saw this picture, he said, "Ms. Jessie is happy to see me! I love her!" *melt*

Day Two Hundred Seventy-five.

We finally made it back to the Boardwalk after our disastrous last outing there where I got sick and passed out...
He was so happy to ride the carousel...(completely didn't notice there were alligators to ride until it started, and then Daddy thought quick and said..they are dragons, and he was fine!)

Ellie did not like it...

She was much happier watching it spin around from the safety of her stroller!

Gavin did not have a good day at school... Should've known when he told me he couldn't be nice at school today before we got there that it was going to be a bad day...
