Day Three Hundred Sixty-Five!

{The end!?}

Imagine them running off INTO the sunset...which. of course, they had just done, here I had convinced them they really did want to come back to me. They enjoyed their long run out at the nature trails on our new base. And by long run, I mean the twenty minutes where they disappeared and A chased them...
So, It's been a great year, and I've loved my second year of a project 365 and all the sweet memories I've captured. Here's hoping I find the motivation to start again tomorrow because right now, I could put the camera down for awhile and I wouldn't mind! So maybe a P365+1? {for the leap year!} Perhaps a Project 52? Or... Stay tuned to find out. :)

My attire for the day- in honor of one of my best friends having her double mastectomy today to get rid of her breast cancer. Wish I could've been there in person to cheer her on but I did my best from across the miles :)

Day Three Hundred Sixty-One.

The camera doesn't make the moment- it just captures it. Ellie let me "borrow" her new camera and we took a self-portrait. And I love it :) Sweet girl, she was too happy to pretend to be like Mama and take pictures of all her favorite things, between her and big brother, we ended up with 98 pictures of blankie, meowmeow, doodle, feet, books and the Christmas tree.

Day Three Hundred Fifty-five (ten days to go!)

Our very own Sleeping Beauty fell asleep on the stairs this afternoon (ouch!?). I felt like taking a nap all day too- all this unpacking is exhausting!

Pretty much the way it looks around here. We had all the boxes that are unpacked stacked up to be put out for recycling and then it started pouring :( Looks like we get to live with them for another week.

I spent my day with this handsome little guy (and my whiny little man who was jealous of the baby taking up my attention!). Baby E gave me a work out- I'm a little rusty with newborns I think!! But I love what we got, and there will be a sneak peek up on the business blog later :)

Day Three Hundred Fifty-Two.

We had my mom's family Christmas party today- Owen enjoyed Poppy's help opening presents.

Before the party, my bestie Laura came over and the girls played Princess and Gavin loved on baby Elijah. (He's got the baby holding thing down). I am headed to their house tomorrow to do Mr. Eli's newborn portraits. Can't wait to get some snuggling in too!!

Day Three hundred fifty-one.

Kids Christmas party at our new squadron....Gavin was a little skeptical of Santa (and his "memory" loss)....

Santa said, " And what would you like for Christmas?"....
Gavin said, "But...I already told you last time...I want two volcanoes, a T-rex and some grass for him to play on".

Santa flies a T38 when the reindeer aren't feeling up to the long flight.

Owen was skeptical of Santa's crazy beard.

And she went nowhere near Santa until he offered her a candy cane, here she was enjoying her tree cookie.

Day Three Hundred and Fifty.

More Instagram milestones of the move. Promise to use the "real" camera tomorrow, we have the new squadron kids' Christmas party so hopefully something will be picture of the day worthy ;)!

Ornament down. Cinderella only lasted about an hour before Ellie dropped her down the stairs and she lost her head. She had been dancing around to her (it's a musical ornament) quite happily and Ellie is.not. pleased with headless "Cindy-ella".

We got our first mail (addressed to US!) at our new house ;)

And I found one of my favorite decorations, made by one of my most missed besties...It made itself at home with one of my clearance orchids ;) At least if I kill it, I'm only out $5!

One of the few pluses (as of now) to this move- being able to check in on Poppy at work. The kiddos are over the moon excited about that.

The THREE playgrounds essentially in our backyard don't hurt either...

We got our stuff today!!

The day started off with a wee-bit of drama from Ellie girl when she decided she needed to paint her nails again...didn't quite go as she planned I think. This was after Poppy cleaned up the "murder" scene and she had been washed up a bit!!

Owen likes unpacking...



Gavin likes "plane" spotting. They are much smaller than what he's used to seeing.

Home?

We got the keys to our new {adorable} house. Now it just needs the fabulous friends and neighbors from our last base...having a day of "PCS blues". I'll come around eventually!

We have been enjoying all the Christmas decorations at my mom's. I can't wait to have our tree up and decorated! Hopefully it makes it out before Christmas day!!

Ellie girl fell asleep watching her new favorite movie, "The Little Mermaid". Even Gromit appreciates a good princess movie now and then.

And Ellie showed off at dinner again, she LOVES watching herself make silly faces in the big windows in Nana's dining room.

Farewell 431! ::Sob:: I'm going to miss this house more than is probably sane. But I brought two babies home to this house and watch my first baby grow up so much. ::Sniff:: I took this shot about a month ago. Love it!!

Day Three Hundred Thirty-Six.

Who knows what was so funny? But the girls had a blast on their last play date today. I don't know how much Ellie understands about moving but I know sooner or later, she's going to realize that she can't play with her best friend whenever she wants to. Sniff.

Imagine the number in his hands is a NINE. Guess who is NINE months old today?

But I guess it can also be... 5- Less than 5 days till movers arrive! :( We had more goodbye play dates today. Tomorrow is the big kid's last day in the house before I take them to my mom's.
