day three hundred thirty-three.

After Liam shattered an ornament (he also broke an ornament earlier that could be fixed and some mantle decorations we had literally just bought) - I almost called off decorating tonight. He was just too wild. I finally agreed but I left off anything priceless. Plus the bottom of the tree looks...special. Evie only got to stay up for me getting the lights on the tree (after the pre-lit lights died and G and I made a Target run for new colored lights). I'm sure what's left of the ornaments will be done for tomorrow morning once she's up.

And we even almost got a bonus pet! Mr. Stick bug totally tried to hitch a ride home!

(she had a duck cake- but then a tiny smashing cake too- for fun, we let the kids sing to her twice...she didn't have patience to stay in the high chair a second time...."CAAAAKE!")

day three hundred twenty-two.

I did birthday portraits for baby sister today. She's so much fun. We moved the dining room table out of the way (the big kids were excited and said we should leave it that way and eat on the floor)- and she ran all over the place. Here's just a few I got edited, not sure when I'll get more done, but at least I took them right?! We spent tonight wrapping her birthday presents. I cannot believe she's one tomorrow. Where does the time go? I am sad to know that I'll never hold another newborn of my own again- but she's so much fun and full of laughter and silliness- I'm really looking forward to all the fun that comes from watching her grow into her personality! Now if only she'd go back to sleeping through the night- those three nights she's done it were heaven!

*and this dress she's wearing, I'm so glad it worked out like I wanted. I bought it the day I found out she was a girl, and I imagined taking pictures like these! Happy accident that Ellie already had a dress to match it, waiting for her to grow into it!*

So clearly I'm failing at this 365, or the blogging part anyways.
The rain today was out of control- I've lost my car keys and had to take just the key from Andrew's set. Wrong day to not be able to open sliding doors on the van!

4.5 inches of rain later...at least the rest of the week looks beautiful!

Ugh this sweet girl. Three days til her first birthday. Somehow it's harder when it's your last baby. She thinks it's all funny lately, especially blowing raspberries. It's her go to skill lately.
