Day Thirty.

We hit up the WeeBabies play time at the downtown library this morning, Owen loved it. Tons of toys, friends, and "Miss Windsey". Lindsey is the a.mazing teacher of both WeeBabies music and the freeplay/story time at the library. She is adorable and has a strange talent of remembering ALL your kids names and ALL the kids that have ever been to her programs. She's just awesome.

Little brother totally agrees, he talked about her non stop all the way home..."Windsey play ducks, Windsey play blocks, Windsey give me apples!"

And baby brother, he sat back (covered in his burp cloth because it's totally necessary) and watched. I know it won't be long before he wants out to play either though!

Day twenty-nine.
blog

After a picnic at the park, Owen spotted all these "dig digs". He was fascinated with them, sweet boy would've stood there all afternoon if I'd let him.

In other news, little brother got his first shots today and after napping most of the morning/afternoon away- woke up super grumpy and with a little fever tonight.

Even though I was totally out of infant tylenol, a sweet friend and neighbor rushed some over for me and after a quick washcloth bath and tylenol he finally fell asleep:)

Day Twenty-eight.

While Gavin was having a piratey good time with his best friend, I was trying to shoot a few pictures of Ellie for this project. She wasn't having much of it, and insisted that Owen be allowed on the bed with her to bounce. He was so happy she included him, even if it wasn't what I wanted and he had just drawn all over himself with a red marker (Joker style) so I couldn't even really use the pictures of him either ;) Oh well. Go with the flow, that's our motto lately. Just ride the waves and go with it!

Day Twenty-Six.

I will never grow tired of him picking me flowers. He whispered to me as he held it out, "Mama....you could put it in your hair, you know...if you wanted to."  And then thankfully let me take his picture with it before I tucked it behind my ear. I quickly moved it to my pocket though when he wasn't looking because I didn't want it to fall out. I wish I could save all the little treasures he brings me forever, but a picture will have to do I guess. :)

And then taking their picture, "just like you mama!"

And finally, snuggling with me and beloved blankie. Sweet girl wanted mama a lot today, she is not a big snuggler so it was fun while it lasted!

Day Twenty-four.

Sweet little man tested out the crib today, he's still sleeping in our room but maybe some day soon if I trust Owen to quit dropping Thomas the train into the crib on Liam, he will be sleeping in their room.

Day Twenty-three.
blog

I found her like this...I think she heard me coming around the corner and dropped the marker. I had been upstairs taking pictures of Gavin (second picture), and she said "Oh mama! I didn't do it, the marker did. It jumped right outta my hand and fell on my foot"  Mmmmhmmmm  and I probably didn't help things by reinforcing it and taking a picture, I just didn't want to forget that very colorful little "story" she told me anytime soon.

Well since tummy time was a colossal fail, I dragged this toy out which has always been a huge hit. Liam seems to enjoy it but Owen seems to want to use it as a weapon against Liam (like everything else in the house) so even this moment couldn't last long. Poor Owen, he's like a bull in a china shop, destroys everything he touches or goes near...baby brother is no exception.
Did you spot his reflection in the first shot? Clutching a toy truck that was son lobbed in Liam's general direction...sigh.

There was a lot of walking and shushing and swaying going on today. Little man was just not too happy. And when I celebrated having all four down and asleep by eight, he promptly woke up at 8:30 and let me know he was unhappy again, since my camera/remote were still around I got a snuggle/shush shot from tonight too. Sweet baby I hope he gets some rest tonight!

Day Nineteen.

He was hiding out trying to watch sister draw a picture. She kept telling him to go away because he wanted to steal the blue marker from her. Eventually he did get his hands on the marker and promptly colored all over himself too. But I refrained from taking a picture because I think that's why he does it, ever since I couldn't resist snapping a shot of him the first time he did it. ;)

There was absolutely no bribery involved for this picture. She was willing and wanting to grin sweetly at me....right. I think the starburst was worth it.

Still.raining. There was nothing to do about that except tuck my sweatpants into my rain boots and head out in the 34 degree rain to shoot some of my favorite trees. They looked just perfect in the misty rain. (Please tell me I'm not the only person with favorite trees!)  Fingers crossed this still turns into snow tomorrow. I would love to break out the macro on some snowflakes!
