Day Thirty.

After breakfast, the big kids wanted to get out all the art supplies and have at it. So they did.

They couldn't be pried away from the windows this morning... why?

The recycling truck was the coolest.thing.ever.

(And on that note, I was quite impressed with our family- Our two week full garbage can was emptier than our two week full recycling can. Yay for recycling MORE than we throw out!)

Day twenty-four.

Gavin discovered this little moth on the back patio while I was letting the dogs out. Somehow he convinced it to fly onto his hand. And then he asked me to take a picture of it :) That's my boy.

Day twenty-three.

He loves playing the LEGO Star Wars game, it's kind of a reward for good behavior and boy does he NOT appreciate losing it when he's not so good. I think it's funny how he sticks his little tongue out when he's concentrating, and the last shot is his celebration dance for beating a level ;)

Day Twenty-Two.

They caught a ladybug today :) I love Ellie's little grin in that first one. We had a lot of fun on our nature walk at Nana's. I'll put some of those up on the family blog tomorrow, assuming we don't get blown away tonight. Go away bad weather!!

Spouse Taxi Day :) I think my hubby has one of the most exciting jobs! We didn't leave the ground (thank God!) but it was still fun to speed down the runway with him!

Day Seventeen.



Winterberry. And yes, I totally pulled over for this shot. And it had just stopped raining (thankfully)! Saw these beautiful trees all along the drive to Shreveport Saturday and so when I spotted this one near my parent's house today I totally pulled over for it :) Updating this weekend's shots in a bit- it's been a crazy 48 hours, I drove back to S'port for a surprise party/chemo shower for my best friend and a newborn twins session :) It was great to see old friends again but I have to say coming back here felt more like home than it has up till now. :) I was very happy to see my sweet big kids this morning!!

Day Sixteen.

I spent my afternoon with these adorable and most precious little ones ever! One of my best friends, Lindsey came along for this session and helped me "wrangle" them, and she's also responsible for finding this awesome bed at a yard sale for me. We joke that if only the Air Force would get it together we could open our newborn portrait studio together ;) A huge share will be up on the business blog soon!

Day Fifteen.

I don't get up at the crack of dawn for just anything or anyone, I'm totally not a morning person!! But I did today, and drove 6 hours to make it to a "cancer free- kickin' off chemo" shower for my best friend, Anne. Some of her really good friends threw her the shower and I can't think of anyone who deserves it more :) I'll do a bigger blog post ASAP. But I loved this shot of her with her boxing gloves. Gavin needed to make a grocery run this morning...with T-rex in tow.

Ellie made sure he threw in a box of ice cream.

Then while Gavin grilled lunch for us all,

Ellie settled in with her elephant friend and watched some Dumbo :)

Super windy and cold here today. I watched this wild grass sway back and forth outside my kitchen window all morning and finally braved the wind for a picture or three ;)

I think my favorite part is their sweet little toes :) I never get tired of their little bare feet in pictures!

In his defense, he actually tore the screen up a week or so ago. But I'm still a tad angry at him. :-/ At least he looks satisfactorily ashamed at the end.

A beautiful fog greeted me this morning. So we hopped in the van before breakfast and the kids and I explored the foggy start to the day. There's more (from my iphone pictures) on the family blog.

Day Eight.

Wandered around my mom's yard this afternoon even though I felt awful. It was a grey, raining off and on, weather suited to my mood kind of day. I can't believe the snowdrops are already up and blooming. It was almost 65 degrees but still. It's barely January!! I'm hoping I feel better after a long night's sleep, otherwise tomorrow is totally going to be a pajama day!

Potty training with this one is...trying every ounce of patience we have to spare. She's got the hand-washing part down pat though I think...Give this girl a mirror/window/vaguely reflective surface and she's always making funny faces :)

Day Three.

I have said it before, but the natural light in our new house is definitely a plus to the move. I promptly bought an african violet and plopped it in our bathroom window. There's plenty of room for it to have a friend or two, too. I didn't have good light in our old house, and yet, I grew to love and adore that house despite it's cave-like tendencies. What this house lacks in fabulous friends being nearby (through no fault of it's own obviously), it makes up for with delicious sunlight all day long and I guess I'll just have to take advantage of it. :)

Day Two.

He's ten months old now and still doesn't have any teeth. So he's always got his tongue stuck out, feeling the spot where the bottom two have been trying to come in for MONTHS. :) I'm loving our new house for all the beautiful natural light, this is in our bedroom, I've never been so happy to be woken up by the bright sunshine before. Our room has light all morning and most of the afternoon. Only a photographer can appreciate that I think ;)

Day One.

I couldn't resist. The more I thought about it, the more I realized I love taking a picture a day for my P365. I love having proof of our days and the little moments with my little ones. So, here we go again!

My brother and I went on a little photo of the day hunt, I've always loved this old barn and the wild grasses around it and the light this afternoon was perfect, so I started the new year with a picture of something old instead of new...oh well. :)

I really liked this set of stairs to nowhere (at least not anymore).

And the sun was too beautiful when seen through the various grasses surrounding the old barn.
